We are now offering a comprehensive schedule of live, online classes available to all children who wish to dance. The response from our existing students and their families has been overwhelmingly positive. It is clear that adding physical exercise and routine during this challenging time holds tremendous value for everyone involved. Join our community today and let us help you or your child stay physically active, mentally stimulated and connected. Find us on Facebook or Instagram and share your photos or videos of the dancers in your house!
Please check your email for class links and passwords.
If you aren’t an existing student, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to gain access! All of our classes are being offered on a pay-what-you-can basis.
Your donation will help keep our instructors employed doing what they love to do and will allow our business to continue offering programming for everyone, regardless of their financial situation.
It’s simple, we want everyone to fall in love with dance. Without any experience, you or your child may not know which discipline is for you. Give us a call or send us an email to schedule a trial class (or two, or three) to get a taste for the right flavour of dance. No fees are charged until you’ve found the right class and even once you have registered, we offer a full money back guarantee within the first month of instruction.
East Toronto families are lucky to have so many options when choosing extracurricular activities. As parents, we understand how difficult it can be to make the right choice. The primary concern at our studio is the growth of your children, not only in dance but in life. It is an incredible process to watch your child come out of their shell, to see their confidence bloom and the effect that this has on their interaction with the world.
Class sizes are kept small, so that each child receives a high level of individual attention. We emphasize positive body image and encourage attaining personal bests. Our instructors have been carefully selected for not only their professional training and industry experience, but also for their temperament, patience and ability to inspire children and adults alike. Every staff member at our studio is truly a great role model to their students.
From The National Ballet School of Canada, the prestigious Ryerson University Dance Program, the Royal Danish Ballet, Petrouchka School of Ballet, and the renowned Deborah Colker Centre of Movement to name only a few, our educators are of the highest caliber. With their help, we customize our curriculum to be above and beyond the traditional RAD standard.
Our schools offer a boutique-style setting, with studio viewing windows, professionally sprung dance floors, loads of natural light and comfortable waiting areas. Both of our convenient locations offer ample parking nearby and are in close proximity to grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops.
Serving East Toronto families for more than five years, join our community to see why both Leslieville & East York Schools of Dance should be your first choice of neighbourhood dance schools.
We were so excited to find [The School Of Dance] . Not only does director and teacher Kristen Dennis have an excellent ballet pedigree (National Ballet School and Company etc. etc.) she is also a fabulous teacher – particularly of children. Children get a strong foundation in technique but they also learn to enjoy dancing with creative time in each class and also several performance opportunities on real stages. MM Camps are fun for the kids, with a wide variety of activities with impressive teachers (e.g. art taught by an OCAD grad). Movie Nights are fun for kids and give the adults a chance to have a “date night”! I can’t say enough good things about [The School of Dance]!
My daughter has been with [The School Of Dance] for almost 3 years. I feel it has given her confidence in performing and being in front of an audience. It is very well organized and Kristen the creator gives it her all and is so patient as a teacher. The girls really look up to her and I think she’s a great role model to have. It’s a terrific program if you are looking for a structured group lesson that requires attention and concentration. The Friday movie nights that are offered are fantastic as well. Would highly recommend it.
One of the East side’s best kept secrets! The teachers love what they do and it shows. For a trail run, check out their movie night events (dance lesson, dinner & a movie) which allows enough time for parents to have a date night. The summer camps are also wonderful and my 3 & 6 year old adore the diverse and active range of activities. And for more professional experiences, sign up for dance lessons (kids and adults). All skill levels and ages are embraced and the teachers are positive and fabulous!
[The School Of Dance] is an amazing organization. Kristen has provided a wonderful platform for young children to learn, dance and be creative. It is wonderful to see how [The School Of Dance] flourished over the years to become a favourite with local children and families.
We adore Monarch — for three years we’ve been taking lessons, attending camps, and taking advantage of movie nights, and it’s all been wonderful. The teachers are caring and patient and so dedicated to the kids. We’re extremely happy we found [The School Of Dance]
Fantastic patient and talented teachers! Love how they focus on a positive body image and celebrate strong healthy bodies.
Miss Kristen and Miss Larissa provide a warm and fun experience for the kids. [The School Of Dance] allows young dancers to appreciate this art and sport, while teaching discipline and perseverance.
Our family adores [The School Of Dance]. The teachers, the space, and the quality of dance are all of the highest standard. It’s simply fabulous.
[The School Of Dance] is a wonderful place for kids to learn dance and movement. It’s a safe and fun environment with lots of love behind it all.
